GenMo App
This was the very first app that I worked on. I created all of the icons and designs. I was part of a very small team of about five to 15 developers (depending on the year) and was the only designer. GenMo was the first start up I was involved in. There, I learned a bit of code and many life lessons. It was one of my favorite jobs to date.
In my time with GenMo Apps, I was responsible for the:
Creation and maintenance of product documentation, including user manuals and product guides
Collaboration with cross-functional teams to define product vision, roadmap, and requirements
Development and execution of go-to-market strategies for new products
The app itself was called Syx (the parent company was GenMo App) and was a smart emoji app. It was going to have data attached to each emoji in order to enable users to send more accurate texts. The developers I worked with came up with predictive text before it was widely used. They also would have the app regularly skim Twitter to add information to each emoji depending on what was trending at the time.
